PCOD (Polycystic Ovary Disease), also known as Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), is a condition in which women have multiple small cysts in their ovaries, leading to enlarged ovaries. This disorder affects hormonal balance, often causing irregular or missed menstrual periods and making it more difficult to conceive. PCOD is also associated with a higher risk of infertility, diabetes, and obesity. Women with PCOD are at an increased risk of complications during pregnancy, which makes early diagnosis and management important for overall health.
