The Beta-2 Glycoprotein 1 Panel (IgG, IgM, IgA) is used to help diagnose Antiphospholipid Syndrome (APS), a condition that increases the risk of blood clotting. It is particularly useful in the following situations:

• To investigate the cause of unexplained blood clots (thrombotic episodes) in veins or arteries (venous thromboembolism).
• To determine the underlying cause of recurrent miscarriages, especially in the second or third trimester of pregnancy.
• When there are signs and symptoms of APS, or if the patient has had one or more unexplained blood clots or pregnancy losses.

This test measures specific antibodies (IgG, IgM, IgA) against Beta-2 Glycoprotein 1, which can help guide diagnosis and treatment for managing clotting risks, particularly in individuals with a history of blood clots or recurrent miscarriages.
