Cardiolipin Antibody (Anti-Cardiolipin, aCL) is commonly found in patients with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) and is strongly associated with conditions like venous and arterial thrombosis, thrombocytopenia, and recurrent fetal loss. Elevated levels of aCL can also be seen in other autoimmune disorders, not just SLE. However, the clinical significance of aCL levels is not yet fully established. Therefore, results from this test should not be used in isolation but should be interpreted in conjunction with the patient's complete medical history, clinical presentation, and other diagnostic findings.
